Focus the engagements for consolidation the German-American relationships Carl Schurz German-American Club: Our aim is to foster and intensify German-American relations in the fields of business, academia and culture in the state of Bremen. Ways of achieving this aim include regular lecture series, as well as contacts and the exchange of information at various gatherings and events.
Cosmopolitan, forward-looking and open to innovation, the Chamber of Commerce is not only the key body responsible for self-government of the business community, but also a strong lobby and forward-looking service provider for Bremen’s trade and industry.
Jacobs University Bremen is a highly selective, private institution for the advancement of education and research. Its academic programs and cultural environment prepare graduates for international leadership and global citizenship. Multinational students, faculty and researchers of distinction, with educational partners around the world, collaborate in learning, creating and disseminating information and new knowledge.
Senator for the Economy and Ports. The Senator, or Ministry for the Economy and Ports is responsible for all policy matters pertaining to the economy and the ports of Bremen. Transport links beyond the immediate region are another field of responsibility, as are post, telecommunications and weather services.
The central office for the state of Bremen government, the Senatskanzlei is responsible for co-ordinating policymaking and public administration within the state of Bremen. Exchange, co-ordination and planning the future – these are the three focal areas of the Office’s work. The Senate Office also manages relations with other constitutional bodies within the state of Bremen, with the other federal states in Germany, with the federal government, with embassies and consulates in Bremen, and with various twinned cities.
Represents the interests of the US administration, citizens, enterprises and institutes in Germany. The US Consulates-General in Germany provide an active link to the United States, and work in the USA to foster American interests in Germany.
