The science and research center of Bremen and Bremerhaven

Bremen and Bremerhaven represent a cosmopolitan science location with two universities, two academies and one art academy. Scientists and students appreciate the close interconnection in-between the different institutions and to the economy, furthermore the advantages of the "short-way" city and the high quality of life here in the land of Bremen.

The research institutions are concentrated at the campus of the University of Bremen, which is surrounded by a technology park with over 300 enterprises and about 5000 employers.

In Bremerhaven is the on polar and maritime research focused Alfred-Wegener-Institute located, as well as the Technology Transfer Center at the Hochschule Bremerhaven.
